Chris Holland combines a number of technologies with on the Mac to talk to his Grandmother in France!

Instead of simply using Skype (which uses a proprietary p2p protocol) or the Gizmo Project (which uses an open protocol called SIP), Chris combined his bluetooth headset, his Mac, some pre-payed minutes he had previously purchased, and a "soft-telephone" called SJPhone to call his Grandmama. A bit of the long way around, but it works!
