I've made a Motorola V3x iSync plugin, but don't have a RAZR to test it. Help me help you!

An anonymous reader left a comment on the Sync-Apps page, to let me know that Nova Media for some reason dropped support for the Motorola RAZR V3x. More like a degrade, huh?

So, of course the reader is left without support for the V3x, and I urged him to try the DIY iSync Phone Plugin page, and do it himself. Then, I thought, why not take a shot at it myself?

So here goes:

• Download the following zip file: V3x to your Desktop, and double click the file to unzip it. The result will be a folder named V3x.phoneplugin on your Desktop. For some of you, your browser will automatically unzip the file, so you'll just see the V3x.phoneplugin folder on your desktop.
• Open Finder, navigate to your user Library folder, and create a folder called "PhonePlugins", then drag the new V3x.phoneplugin folder from your desktop into PhonePlugins.
• I have no idea if this will work with bluetooth or only USB. So, first try plugging in your V3x via USB. For the more adventurous, directions for setting-up your phone with bluetooth can be found here.
• In iSync, select the Devices menu and "Add Device," which should find the V3x.
• If the V3x is not found at first, try restarting your Mac and starting over.

In an effort to trouble shoot, when you have your V3x plugged in via USB, under the Apple menu, select “About this Mac,” and click on the “More Info…” button. This will open the System Profiler application. In this program, in the first “Contents” column, under hardware, select USB. In the right column, find the USB bus that indicates Motorola Phone, or a Vendor ID of “0x22b8.” I need to know what what the “Product ID” and “Vendor ID” lists for your phone. UPDATE:Please note the comments below. Also, if posters could also indicate their mobile carrier--the firmware versions can be different based on who you purchased the phone from. Just trying to issolate variables in this trial-and-error effort!
