Motorola PEBL iSync Plugin
In an effort to create a plugin for the RAZR V3x, we stumbled upon something else...
Still working on the RAZR V3x, but thanks to Macncell.com reader Lee, we’ve created a Motorola PEBL iSync plugin. Here’s how to get it to work:
-
You need Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 for this plugin.
-
Download the following zip file: PEBL.phoneplugin.zip to your Desktop, and double click the file to unzip it. The result will be a folder named PEBL.phoneplugin on your Desktop. For some of you, your browser will automatically unzip the file, so you’ll just see the V3x.phoneplugin folder on your desktop.
-
Open Finder, navigate to your user Library folder, and create (if you don’t already have) a folder called “PhonePlugins”, then drag the new PEBL.phoneplugin folder from you”r desktop into PhonePlugins.
-
Make sure you’ve already setup your Motorola PEBL with your Mac either via USB or bluetooth. You can learn how to do that here.
-
In iSync, select the Devices menu and “Add Device,” which should find the PEBL.
I’ll be adding this plugin to the list on the Sync-Apps page. Thanks again to the reader input received from Lee—kudos to you for figuring out that last unicode step.

I made the mistake of ordering from this company before I checked reviews - won't make that mistake again. I am right now in the process of trying to cancel my order, with no success so far. They've charged my account, and never listed a ship date. I placed the order on 12/23/08, and began trying to cancel on the 27th, after I noticed no shipping date listed, and was beginning to feel apprehenive about the company. That's when I decided to check reviews outside of their site - shame on me for allowing myself to be duped!! With all the negative reviews and people who have been ripped off, I'm thinking a possible class action lawsuit is in order
