So you may have noticed some changes?
Yep, I finally did it. I’ve changed the underlying server technology behind MacnCell, (from Plone to Drupal for those who care) and changed hosting servers as well.
I’m hoping that the technology change will help me to keep the site up to date with ease and help me to publish content faster. The majority of the content that was on the old site should be here too—including the old direct links (starting with “Macncell.com/index_html”) though I’m still working out how to move over all the images. Bad coding from the beginning I think will cause me to drop in some image galleries instead of the static images. Unfortunately, this will take some time.
Please let me know what you think and where things work and don’t. There’s a contact button at the top of the page as well as in the navigation on the right. Feel free to use a direct email or the contact form, I should get it either way.
If you previously signed up with MacnCell.com before, all those accounts are now gone. Sorry, but they really didn’t do much before. You can create your own account on this new site by clicking on “Create new account” on the left or right here. I’m hoping to make the Sync-Apps page into a user-editable Wiki, after I update it. This should help everyone crowd-source solutions for syncing.
You’ll need to resubscribe to the RSS feed as well, which can be found here. Please let me know if you have trouble with that or anything else.
I hope to start posting people’s questions real soon here. Stay tuned and thanks for sticking with me!
Best, Alex
